When we set out to create The Village Cooperative Learning Center, our goal was simple: build a warm, attachment-based, high-quality co-op that feels like home for homeschool families in the Capital Region. 💛
As homeschool parents ourselves, we know how much thought goes into choosing programs for your kids and managing a family budget. We’ve also learned firsthand what it takes to launch a safe, vibrant co-op before the doors even open on Wednesday morning!
From securing a full year of liability insurance and facility rent upfront, to investing ~$200 weekly in high-quality adaptive learning materials and non-toxic supplies, every detail is intentional. Add in professional safety/rescuer training, age-group directors, and 60+ hours a week of prep and teaching—we pour our hearts into making VCLC a top-tier experience.
We are especially proud of the expertise guiding our community: Ashley is a NYS Certified Teacher and Special Education Teacher who left her position in the school system to dedicate 100% of her energy and passion right here to our VCLC children. 🍎✨ Because we know the paperwork side of homeschooling can feel overwhelming, we also offer our current families hands-on assistance with state reporting to keep your school year smooth and stress-free.
We took a close look at similar programs across the Capital Region and are proud to offer one of the most competitively priced, family-friendly co-op models around.
When tuition rolls around on the 2nd Monday of the month or material fees are due, prompt payments are what keep our lights on, our classrooms stocked, and our facility secure. It allows us to keep focusing 100% of our energy on supporting, teaching, and growing alongside your children.
Thank you to all of our founding families for your partnership, your volunteer hours, and your commitment to making this vision a reality! 🌿
